📸 Case Study: Community in Focus – The Doggy Easter Egg Hunt with Venture Paws

Client: Venture Paws (Local Dog Walking Service)
Event Type: Outdoor Community Event
Location: Cleveland, OH
Session Type: On-location Event Highlights & Portraits
Duration: 2 Hours
The Opportunity

Since launching my business, one of the biggest shifts has been the intentional choice to show up—not just as a service provider, but as a community member. I want my work to be profitable, yes, but I also want it to be meaningful. When you build with those around you, you create longevity.

So when Venture Paws—a local dog walking company—hosted a Doggy Easter Egg Hunt, I knew I wanted to be part of it.
The Assignment

This was a quick, high-energy event filled with wagging tails, pastel treats, and local vendors. My job was to capture:

Event ambiance

Candid community moments

Vendor table setups

Professional portraits of the participating small business owners

Because the event lasted just two hours, I focused on getting the most impactful highlights that would not only document the experience but help each vendor share their story online.
Featured Vendors

Ms. Coco’s Barkery – All-vegan pet cuisine with personality.

Mohana’s Pets – A stylish boutique offering pet fashion with flair.

Cal’s Pal’s – A mobile grooming service bringing the spa to your doorstep.

Each vendor

was kind enough to give me a few moments for individual portraits—headshots that I believe will be a growing part of my work moving forward.

Reflections

This shoot reminded me that networking doesn’t always look like networking. Sometimes it’s just showing up, doing what you do best, and letting your work speak for itself. This was less about “coverage” and more about community visual storytelling—exactly the kind of opportunity I aim to create more of.
